The wind kept blowoing all afternoon after my morning session, so I phoned Steve to tell him it was windy and aranged to meet him on the beach around 5pm. I went over at 4.30ish to make the most of the wind before Steve arrived (as he can sometimes be a jinx!!!) The wind had eased loads since my morning session but I was still going OK with my 5.7m and big wave board. After an hour on the water I went in for a rest and Steve was rigging his 7m so I decided to change up to my 6.7m and my Sputnik...I'm glad I did, my first run once back on the water was OK, nicely planing with a good jump while Steve was struggling to get going in the rapdily decreasing wind. The wind then stopped altogether so that it was for the day for me. Steve stayed out and did manage to get going in the end, but not as well as he would have liked.
